The 73A will no longer be used on the MEL-SIN route from sometime in November 2010. A 744 will take its place till Feb 2011 after which a smaller capacity 772 (777-200ER) will take its place permanently.
Not sure what happens to the one and only refurbished 73A that plied this route, though.
You do have the option of taking the A380 and 77W between MEL and SIN. These will not be affected.

Yes thanks for that, my connection in SIN requires the afternoon departure. Actually I'd rather go from SYD but all flights sold out next week for some reason.
