    I respectfully disagree.

Most of the younger TG girls are still interested in customer service. Most of the older ladies at TG have lost it. Some of them still do in a mumsy way. When was the last time a TG girl help you to stow baggage?

Almost all SQ girls provide stellar service.

TG and SQ girls are miles apart

I've heard the girls there are very friendly. Just the sort of material SQ is looking for..

Hmm, wonder after Thais, which nationalities would SQ recruit. Filipinos and Vietnamese?

Apparently Royal Brunei had recently recruited quite a number of Vietnamese cabin crew and wow, do they look good!

I will respectfully disagree with you on this... Being human as we all invariably are, we are all prone to being emotional and let those said emotions get the better of us...

I've had plenty of SQ girls provide bad service, I've had bad service from each airline I've flown with come to think of it... It's not all the time but it does happen, and you get over it...

As for QF F/A's being past their used by date and not interested, I will disagree with this wholeheartedly! I'm not throwing around some sense of national pride in my national airline, I rarely fly QF international... But of the few times I've chosen to do so, I've found the old ducks to be far less precious or pretentious than their younger counterparts and provide much more personable service..

Now, if we're going to talk about crews being past their used by dates, American carriers take the cake, I mean afterall, the oldest serving crew member was or still is with UA at the ripe old age of 84...

UA, DL, NW, US, CO, AA all have plenty of ponies that need to be put to pasture...

They also have some very good experienced crew. I flew UA yesterday and we had two mature flight attendants looking after and they were excellent. They smiled the whole time, and nothing was too much trouble.

LH has hired mainly Thai cabin crew in SE Asia. Sometimes I see them on the SIN routes without even a Chinese speaking FA. Now that's strange.

But seriously, whilst we all like to have hot young things with big smiles all the time serving us on flights... for those that choose to go into the industry they should have the right to make it a lifetime career. It's unfair to be booted out because you are too old.

Anyway, not all older fa's are bad as i said.
I was in Munich a few years ago with a friend, she saw a group of people in the lobby and said "isn't that sweet, an airline retirees group in their old uniforms". I said, "Hon, that's the United crew".

Having said that, I've had some pretty good service off more mature crews on most airlines, but I've also met the late unlamented NW's "Witches of Gatwick" who were dire and "Mussolini in Micromesh" on QF31 (the only bad QF flight I've every had).

I think the best service is given by experienced professionals who haven't got tired of their jobs yet. They can be young, middle-aged or old. You can usually tell if you have them from the moment you step aboard.

They are such a 'global' airline they should broaden their horizons a little. I believe they had certain concerns over certain countries, but if needs must...

All this time I've flown SQ, I've experienced a consistency at which service is dispensed.. very professional and warming hospitality.
It does not matter what company you work for Aulia, you always have to filter out what you post on Facebook or any social forum where your identity is available. The main problem is we tend to complain on facebook etc about things that better stay within the company.
