SIA Contributing $4 Million to protect Indonesian Rainforest Reserve

Read in the local papers that SQ is contributing to protecting an Indonesian rainforest. Glad there is Corporate Social Responsibility.

Hopefully there is further push by SQ and other airlines to reduce emission and contribute more to protect the environment.

For my part, what I do is to carry the minimum amount of travel items to reduce weight and hence less carbon dioxide consumed.

Looks like a useful donation. Pleasing that the money has not been sunk into a generic carbon offset fund or similar.
