IIRC Bey was the senior SQ board member on the inaugural A380 flight from LHR to SIN. If so he seemed a very nice chap when we spoke to him. We had a chat in the gate area before take off and then we disembarked from the upperdeck together at Changi so I was talking to him all the way into the terminal.

I wonder if the new guy will change back to Raffles Class from the boring Business Class, rename the aircraft, drop the ridiculous 'A class beyond.....' unless it's '....redemption'...... and a whole host of other things.

Who knows, they may even make PPS worth something again.

Seems Mr Chew is sticking with the travel industry, with he taking of the Chairman's position of the Singapore Tourism Board

"SINGAPORE Tourism Board has named former Singapore Airlines ceo, Chew Choon Seng, as its new Chairman effective immediately, for a three year term. The board’s numbers have also swelled to 11 executives following the appointment of Deborah Ong of PriceWaterhouse Coopers and Jessica Tan Soon Neo of Microsoft."
