  • SIA models sold on KrisShop

Hi Wonder if anyone noticed that besides the Heritage series 2-5, there is now only the A380 1:200 Scale and "2-in-1" A380 & A330 1:1000 scale left on sale?

Yes, I noticed that since few months ago. Apparently they have sold all their B747. I have asked them whether they have new model coming in, but instead they recommend me to buy the DVD

Has anyone bought the DVD or seen it, if so what is it like, do you see the inside with all the cabins fitted out ect? Sounds like it could be quite good from the details on the site.

I have. Watched it once. Can't really remember every detail. But what appealed to me was the cockpit briefing and the preparations before flight.

Saw it on a flight simmer's website but it was 29.99Euros... Compared to the SGD29.99 onboard.

My bad... Forgotten about the price.. If you listen carefully, there are some errors in the DVD. For eg, Nosewheel Tiller, they say tailwheel..

But I wonder why they aren't selling the B77W anymore. The B744s is understandable.. And the 1:400 A380 Model is also unavailable now.

I believe we are all talking about the SQ A380 DVD. Yes, its SGD49 on inflight sales. I wanted to purchase one on my HKG-SIN flight last month but it was sold out. Thought of getting it via the online KrisShop but there's a SGD15 delivery charge within Singapore.

9V-SGA, would you recommend it if its SGD49 plus the delivery charges?

                  Nice Hobby

I have been keen fan of collecting or making airplane and ship models since I was a little boy. Bring backs nice memories of my childhood days. One model I was thinking of getting along is the SQ 747. Strangely enough I have a model of the A380 but not 747.

Now the aircraft is slowly going out of service, will be good to get one if someone knows where to get the particular model.

Is the A380 DVD footage based on the Discovery show they aired some time back ?

SQTalkers, who may or may not be plane spotters, who are discussing an aspect of travelling on SQ that they value. Your issue is?

You can try Orchard Store. Though I do not know where they are now since Specialist Center has now been torn down and rebuilt.
I'm sure someone here will know

It hasn't moved too far. Now at the Grand Central Hotel, behind The Concorde (Le Meridien). However I suggest purchasing your models online as The Orchard Store is extremely overpriced. I use:

                            http://www.jetwaymodels.com
                            http://www.airparadigm.com

                            along with eBay.

If you want to find out the average retail value of your model, check http://www.wings900.com/modeldatabase | and fill out the criteria in the advanced search box.
                            Happy hunting
