The MD-11s that never were...

I've read so many times about SQ ordering the MD-11 then canceling it at the last moment due to performance issues. I've always wondered how one would look like as no official artist's sketches seem to be common online.

I found this md-11 web site with a photoshop-ed SQ MD-11:

The said plane seems to carry the reg "9V-STB." I am not sure where the artist based this on. Would the 9V-ST* sequence have been used by SQ for the MD-11s? Or perhaps SQ would have used the 9V-SJ* sequence which they eventually put on the A340s (which were ordered in place of the canceled MD-11s)?

just to point something out. When they ordered the MD 11 the livery at the time wasn't like that. The titles would have been smaller like this:

I think the second one, since that livery was already in use as early as 1988(?) or 1989. The MD-11s were supposed to be delivered during the early 90s.
