Yup -- I was on board and it was medical diversion.
We were somewhere over India when a couple of calls went out for doctors or people with medical training. The next thing we know is that shortly after crossing in to Pakistan airspace the moving map showed us heading towards DXB. No announcement was made from the flight deck for about 20 minutes after this.
We were on the ground in Dubai for a little over an hour. I can't fault the the SQ cabin crew at all during this experience.
However, the arrival experience at LHR was not ideal (again nothing to do with SQ). IRIS wasn't working and the 'Fast Track' had closed for the night. This, coupled with a few other flights arriving at the same time and not enough staff on initially, meant longish immigration queues regardless of the passport you held.
