Hello all, first time poster here!
Perhaps an unknown problem for most hardcore air wolves over here but can't help asking
Anyhow, my first true long-haul flight (FRA-SIN, 12 hrs or so) on SIA is coming up during the weekend. The plane is obviously 777-300ER. Have to admit, this is the furthest trip and biggest plane I have ever been on (I think 3,5 hour trip on 757 is the top so far).
Unfortunately I happen to suffer from some motion sickness and/or vertigo. I'm not sure that there is much difference between them but as it's mostly this awkward "spinny" sensation, I guess it's the latter. Not an everyday visitor, mainly present during flights, especially while turning (climbing and turning at the same gets me extra sensitive). More randomly also during cruise mode, not sure why, perhaps some floating etc.
Also, I don't fear flying (from crashing perspective) as a process nor have I ever come close to vomiting. So I guess it's vertigo.
Can you guys suggest what seats should I aim to in check-in given the situation (I'm flying Economy)? I guess I'm looking for some possible meds as well but seat selection is something I'm not sure about yet, especially as I haven't ever been on that plane. Just want to be as ready as I can for such a long trip.
Obviously, other thoughts on overcoming those obstacles are welcome as well, although I'm mainly after seating suggestions here.
Is motion sickness / vertigo experienced more on a big widebody compared to smaller jets or should not make much difference?
Other than all that above, I LOVE to travel.
TY all in advance for the discussion!
