Luggage checkthru for separate bookings - same day flights

If I both have MNL-SIN leg and a SIN-DPS on the same day but both are booked under separate booking confirmations, can I request for check-through to DPS at MNL airport? We had to do this due to complications with KF miles.

Yes it should not be a problem. Just have a print out of the e-ticket for the SIN-DPS leg so you can show the check-in agent at MNL.
