  • Should Paris keep the A380?

Singapore Airlines praised the A380 in the Financial Times a couple of days ago, saying that the A380 has still a "pulll-effect" and people still want to specifically book that plane and are even willing to connect and fly longer times to be on that plane.

I tried to book a flight to Germany and wanted to fly A380 to Europe - and found out that the minimum connecting times (MCT) in Paris are 90 minutes (with *A if within the same terminal) and 240 minutes (if terminal change is necessary). That makes Paris the least attractive city to fly through - MCT in Frankfurt is 45 minutes, in Zurich 40 minutes (Munich can even offer 30 minutes).

Maybe SQ should send the 747 to Paris and the Whalejet to FRA (and cutting the FRA-JFK leg).

The JumboJets will all be retired within a few months, so planning to send them to CDG would just be be a disruption. I think there is a very good chance that SQ will start WhaleJet service to FRA and drop the JFK tag.
