Let's see you equally like SKL and TPR and 77W seats in J and F - then this might be a result of all the products and services being so close to each other. Out of Europe, J on 77W sells for 4.000 SGD (including taxes) while F on 77W sells for 10.000 SGD (including taxes). If differences are marginal or non-existant then the big question is: who values the differences so much that they are coughing up so much more money for it?

Maybe its also subconscious. Given my limited budget, J is much more afordable and justifiable for me frankly

Greetings, SQTalkers, from a very quiet and really rather warm TPR (the air con cut out a while ago, but supposedly it'll be back on soon). On my first visit here, I'm finding TPR perfectly nice and a noticeable if marginal upgrade from the general T3 SKL F, which was fine in its own right. One thing I really like about TPR is having a seating area close to windows directly fronting on the airfield and ramp, as opposed to having to view it across the Gate House for the lower A gates. The a la carte menu looks good too-- and I'm tempted to try the hamburger with foie gras, even though it would be my first burger for about 10 years. Now, where to find some Poyferre to wash it down with.

Here for the next couple of hours waiting for SQ 2 to take me home.

BTW: On SQ 1 about a week ago, I was one of only three pax in F on both legs, though the "other two" pax on each leg were different. Now, if only the ultra-handsome Singaporean pilot who took his rest in J had decided to take a load off in 2C...

Today, they sort of forgot at the First Class drive-through check-in... but with the subtlest of prompting, they quickly wrote out the invitation.

          Anyway - today's menu...

Hope to get through it by tomorrow.

That will depend if you prefer more legroom ( when sitting ) and more headroom when sleeping. 1 for the former and 2 for the latter.

No more chicken rice? But I like their mini-burgers

So is it confirmed now that Private Room is open for redemption F tickets as well? I wonder if they will still differentiate between F saver redemption and F standard redemption. Have just booked F saver ticket.

Yes, as long as you have a F class ticket, they will let you in.

Yes, it is confirmed. See Post 29 of this very thread.

Well they are still allowing folk on redemptions in I am pleased to say. Even with the open door to redemption scum (as some of them clearly see (or at least saw) it... ) there was only two others in there.

I got a gold TPR invitation at check-in but decided to pocket that and see if I could waltz in with the red BP. They collared me at the entrance to the SKL, and went over to the computer with my BP. a minute later she said 'You are invitied to TPR...' and escorted me in.

I had tomato soup and the burger, minus the Foie Gras, which I can't stand. I ordered and shot off to get changed, returning ten minutes later. Another 10-15 minutes later and still no sign of the soup so I chased it and it arrived a few minutes later. Both were very nice.

The delay had left me in a bit of a rush to the gate, especially as the white lady who escorted me in was adamant I should leave earlier than I thought I should. But did mean as I came down the escalators I bumped into an old friend I hadn't seen since the inaugural A330 flight. Great to see you, Sir !. Enjoy Saudi, if you can. As I said, I'd make use of the causeway.

I do think it's a shame they've got those shades on the outside of the window as it spoils what would otherwise be a nice (and welcome, for an SKL...) tarmac view.

With the greatest of ease! Although my doctor would not be that happy...
God must have been a ship owner, he placed the raw materials far from where they are needed and covered two-thirds of the earth with water...

That's a fair point, and an issue for sure at times!. I used to find myself having three attempts at breakfast ; one on the long haul inbound flight, something in lounge and then they serve breakfast on the early departing connecting flight... .

However, in my defence on this occassion, I had missed lunch (again), forgot to BTC so expected the usual plethora of seafood choices in F, soup is not much and I don't know if you've seen the burgers from TPR but they are tiny!.

As it happens I am glad I had something as I ordered the Claypot Rice for my main on board and it was awful.

                              Hello,

I'm new and my english is so-so.

So my question is very simple. I've booked a Star Alliance Round The World first class ticket (FRWSTAR2). Twice I've a connection at Changi with SQ. Did you now if I'm able to have access to The Private Room with my ticket? My booking class is A.
