I didn't bother asking as I am sure we know what the answer will be. Let's be honest, if they didn't think TPP's who could have spent just South of half a million miles on a redemption weren't 'good enough' to get in, they aint going to let people not flying SQ or those good for nothing The Pointless Passenger Service folk in either.

Thank you for your email of 24 August 2009. You would be pleased to know that besides passengers on paid Suites and FirstClass fares, those flying these classes on redemption are also welcome to‘The Private Room’ (TPR).

Please do note that guests of these passengers will not begranted access to the TPR.

I have tried the beef burger with foie gras for lunch. I liked it. The other time was noodle soup with wanton...pretty standard.

In the TPR now. Got invitation to TPR with my O BP.... nice lounge, more private than the regular F lounge, but nothing more... just more secluded but no wow effect...
And no Lobster for breakfast....
Also can hear the "flush" sound from the toilet...

Oh yes, there is a good spread even at breakfast. We went in the other day and pretty much ordered everything off the menu. The roti paratha came with one of the best assam fish curry we've ever had. The sunny side eggs with bacon was as perfect as could be. The dim sum selection was light and fluffy. And the Ipoh chicken hor fun with soup on the side (our request) came with sambal belachan, yum!
