Hmm.. you should remove the 777-300 Section since SYA-SYE is no longer operating... The 73A, 72A and the refitted B772ER do not have the new Y, but just a refreshed version from those older seats with AVOD.

Hi all, just some clarification: just flew SIN-MNL this week in a stone-age 777, 9V-SRG. According to Airframes, it's a 200ER... but the link in your fleet description above (772, 2 class) refers to a -200... so which one is it ? Interior was old, IFE in Y not VOD (all movies starts same time can cannot stop/pause/start again) and J class was 2-3-2 without IFE from what I saw...
      Cheers

Both are correct. It is a derated -200ER, -200 in SQ speak.

The SQ -200s are derated -200ERs. The Engines Control Units (ECU) have been electronically limited to reduce max thrust, increasing engine life and reducing MTOW. Longer life, less maintenance cost; reduced MTOW, less landing fees.

In short, they have been optimized to fit SQ's routes but retain higher residual value and give SQ more fleet flexibility (in the medium term as the cabin layout is not as easy to change).

                • for the A388 with Y class upstairs, are J class rows 11 and 12 narrower due to the natural curvature of the aircraft?

may i ask then if its the same thing for the A388 with only J class upstairs? I'm on Row 14 and i hope the seat does not get narrower.

thanks in advance. not v sure coz i usually book rows 21-23 but wanted to try the front cabin for a change

I have tried rows 14/15 on both configurations, and would recommend these rows based on what I have experienced. Did not notice any narrowing.
I would definitely prefer to be on the forward J cabin as it feels more private and cosy.

                      • SGN seems to have gone 772 the past couple of days, even up to Saturday (25-May-13). Anyone knows if this is a perm down-guage?

SGN is always operated by the SR series 772 that are unrefitted. However, some of them have AVOD ( SRJ-L) so maybe you are lucky enough to fly on those.

Was on the old 772 without AVOD.
