Just for my interest I just phoned the SIA booking line (at 1300 BST) to find out the price of a LHR-SIN return
05-Jun; 2205 LHR - 1755 SIN = tonight
07-Jun; 1245 SIN - 1010 LHR

For GBP490 and miles accruable.

....

Still not enough to persuade me to do a mileage run - even if the Bakuteh, Laksa and chicken rice are calling me!!!

Unfortunately I'm still at work in Rome, otherwise I'd go there and would issue a return ticket to SIN (or maybe some other destination!).

Just to know: which bk class are they using to sell the 490 GBP Fare?

It is just competing with BA.

According to my agent, BA is offering GBP180 from LHR to HKG with max stay 1 year and mileage accurable!!

If they have this rate from HK it would be amazing.

Every BA fare is mileage accruable... the point is how many miles you can earn... (lowest classes earn 25%.... only YBH earn100%).
