J Class Child Fare

Hi everyone,
I was trying to find out how much does it cost to bring an infant and a child on J class. Did a dummy booking for a SIN-CHC return trip on SQ website:
The results:
Fare for 1 Adult: 5,700.00
Fare for 1 Child: 5,700.00
Fare for 1 Infant: 850.00
Taxes & Surcharges: 636.00

Total: SGD 12,886.00

Any idea why the fare for child is the same as adult ?

almost all airlines do Not have child fare - which is the same as adults. What airlines like SQ have is just infant/child up to 3 yrs old only - once they occupy a seat - its charged as adult.

The maximum age for an infant fare (no seat) is 2 years and not 3. After 2 years of age, you'll need to purchase a seat.
