I'm guessing SQD would be the kind of plane destined to become part of Scoot.

It gets a lot of use to Colombo and Mumbai according to flight databases. 5 hours with broken IFE doesn't sound like fun.

Probably a SAF charter from the looks of it. Just a turnaround flight.

Doesn't make sense for SQ to sub contract the refit to external MROs when SIAEC can do it as well.

Yes. like SIN-HKG, MAN-MUC, MXP-BCN (though no bookable). Push it bit and you get ICN, NRT, MEL, SYD

Officially, the press release when SQ firmed up the 8x 77W order stated that the planes would be for use on medium and long-haul routes. Of course it doesn't mean SQ would not utilize the aircraft for regional hops. Can't wait to see the new cabins!
