  • Counting down to my first SQ trip in over a decade: F on the 77W

A follow-up to my previous thread where I asked for advice on which cabin product to choose(thanks for the inputs!). I decided to settle for F on SQ2.

I was 10 the last time I was on SQ and that was 12years ago!

I'll be taking off on May 1st. Cant wait to check out TPR at Changi and of course the plane itself. Think I'll BTC soon, I'll probably settle for the Seabass or Roasted Vegetables option.

Okay, I might sound pathetic since many of you guys seem to travel on F a lot but its a frist on SQ for me

Anyone departing from Sg on SQ 2 on May 1st as well?

Sorry I hadn't clarified, I would be taking SQ 2 to HK only, not continuing on to SFO.

Yeap, I paid for it. This being my first SQ flight in ages, I have 0 Krisflyer miles (donations would be greatly appreciated however). In fact I haven't even received my blue card yet! I doubt some of you people here even remember what it looked like haha.

I'll be sure to take lots of pics and post them in the Trip Reports section

If you wanna fly F again then may I suggest depositing those miles into BMI DC instead of krisflyer

I did the SQ 1 and 2 a few months ago, and have to say that the food choices from SIN-HKG were pretty underwhelming! I decided on the Chinese meal and really just was not impressed. I also don't understand why they cannot serve caviar! Even on the remainder of the flight to SFO, the menu was not very impressive. However, the service was good.
I've found that JAL and ANA have much better meals on board for F.

I have seen some 2-3 year old toddlers in F, obviously not travelling by themselves though

                  oh i c...SQ2 SIN-HKG 1750/2135, den take SQ1 0800/1140 back?

Still affordable if you have a lot of savings and saved for some time since you were young...or give tuition..play a bit of stocks etc...
                  TOTAL PRICE SGD 4,081.00
Fare for 1 Adult: SGD 4,007.00
                  Taxes & Surcharges: SGD 74.00
                  Total Fare: SGD 4,081.00

Oh, I didn't know I could credit my miles to a partner's program! I'll find out more about that. Thanks

I thought of using BTC so I can get the meal I'd want.
Have you tried the Roasted Vegetables option? I thought of that.
I'd usually settle for fish, seafood or something vegetarian. Not much of a meat eater here heh

Thank you for making my SQ experience so unromantic by butchering it with the costs and a theory for how I might have been able to afford it

No, I'm going on F and returning on J. Its a $1000 cheaper and I want to try the new J product as well, so I settled for this. Lots of people have told me how this J product is virtually as good as the Sky Suite.

                        Double dip.

Collect the miles on another FFP (BD) and collect PPSV with your KF#
