Whereas at AKL some of the contract Menzies check-in struggle even with same day onward SQ flights on the same ticket.

Last year on an AKL-SIN-NRT journey on the same ticket, the Menzie Lady had problems issuing the SIN-NRT BP that she had to call upon her superior to help her out. All that was explained was difficulties without much details. So wasn't sure it it was technical problems with the computer/machine or she simply hasn't mastered (or forgotten) some of the key entry/technical commands. It was also the first time I had been handled by this lady at check-in.

Haven't logged in for a few days, and am pleasantly surprised by so many helpful replies!

I'll call SQ to ask them to put the information down, so they know I'm connecting from SQ321 into SQ297.

        Thanks a lot again!

And not to forget the reverse, i.e. SQ should know that on your SQ297 PNR, you will arrive on SQ321. Just to be safe.

Just called them - I think I reached the India Call centre.

The agent said she couldn't link the PNRs together, but advised me to show the LHR check-in agent both of my PNRs, and they'll be able to check my baggages through to CHC.

How should I pursue this further?

May be the agent thinks you want to merge or combine the PNR.
But basically what you want is to put info segment like this:

              SQ321 LHR-SIN (original PNR)
              SQ297 SIN-CHC (info segment)

And for you paid ticket record locator, should be like this:

              SQ321 LHR-SIN (info segment)
              SQ297 SIN-CHC (original PNR)

PS. When I flew LHR-SIN (paid Y tix) and SIN-ICN (reward F), they were able to print SIN-ICN F boarding pass at LHR. I just showed them the PNR printout of the SIN-ICN sector and they processed my baggage through-check and issued the BP.

The F-BP saved my butt completely as well, since I ended up having to show the SIN-ICN F BP in order to go through Fast Track security at LHR when I was running very late. Other people in Y who tried the regular line were turned away since they would not clear security in time for the flight. Almost missed my first A380 experience - scary

                  Hi there,

Thanks so much - I e-mailed the SQ office in London and they've successfully processed that for me.

Now when I look at My Bookings, I can see the flights in both of the PNRs.

One question though - in my Paid Booking, I've selected seats for my LHR-SIN flight, in my Revenue booking, I've selected seats for my SIN-CHC flight.

But in the Info segments, both SIN-CHC (in the revenue PNR) and LHR-SIN (in the award PNR), it shows up as "none selected". Do I need to do anything about this?

Also, nearer to the time of flights, what should I do - do I check in online for the paid PNR, or do I check in online for both of the PNRs?

Hope my questions about the seats and the online check-in makes sense!!

                  Thanks!

Info segments are literally for information only, and therefore there is no information about the seating or etc. So it's correct that you can't see the seating info for the info segments.
