And of course, I should congratulate the beautiful lady I met in many of my prior flights for her new higher level duty as an IA. Hope we will meet on board again someday. And once again, congratulations! You are the gems of Singapore Airlines!

Rank Summary?
As usual, I'm a little behind the curve here. Would someone kindly summarize (1) the various ranks of in-flight personnel (with abbreviations spelled out), and (2) basic uniform features for each rank (old/new)?
I have read in bits and pieces a lot of this, but haven't seen one consolidated post with all the info. If this information is already somewhere, a link will do nicely.
Much appreciated. It will be nice to know who the "players" are on my upcoming debut SQ flight.

IFS - In Flight Supervisor (see pics in earlier parts of this thread for a better colour description.
CS - Chief Steward
CSS - Chief Stewardess (red kebaya)
LS - Leading Steward
LSS - Leading Stewardess (green kebaya)
FS - Flight Steward
FSS - Flight Stewardess (unchanged)
You will also from time to time see FS/FSS with "gold" name tags, these are your trainee's - IIRC on the crew lists they show as GS/GSS
Can't remember the exact differences for the male crew other than the disguishing factor is the striping through the tie e.g a male IFS will have a similar colour stripe through his tie as the female IFS kebaya etc etc

Trainees wear a "TRAINEE" tag above their normal name tag. IIRC, the trainee tags are the same color as the Singaporean/Malaysian crew tags.

SQ has recruited guys from HKG.
SQ has no Filipino male crew, neither residence nor citizen of Singapore.

It's incorrect as well.
