  • TSP with Airbus for A330's

Airbus has finalised a Total Support Package (TSP) agreement with Singapore Airlines to maintain its future fleet of 19 A330 aircraft.

The TSP, which will be performed by Airbus Customer Service, will provide fleet management in addition to line and base maintenance as well as full component support. These services represent part of a suite of broad range of tailored maintenance and engineering solutions offered under Airbus' Flight Hour Services (FHS).

Under the agreement, Airbus will appoint appropriate members from the Airbus Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Network, as well as equipment manufacturers to perform this range of services.

The Airbus maintenance package will be delivered to Singapore Airlines starting with the first delivery in early 2009. This latest contract further develops Airbus’ in-service maintenance support capability, building on an earlier A380 component support programme that Airbus is providing to Singapore Airlines.

Does that mean that SIAEC will have less MRO jobs from their parent company?
Is this a sign that SIAEC will be spinned off to merge with ST Aerospace?

So SIA signs with Airbus who then signs a contract with SIAEC?
        Rather interesting.

Nothing new. SIAEC is always the "preferred" MRO service provider in SIN, similar to SATS for airport/ground handling and catering. We don't have to state the obvious, do we?

Sometimes early next year. Of course based on delivery schedule. And not to forget, looking forward to the better seats.
Inaugural flights to NGO or BNE anyone?

Guess it will be on CGK turns initially aka 772s and 345s for crew training.

I must say it's not the same experience doing a SIN-CGK-SIN due to crew training for new aircraft comparing to the actual inaugural flights.
