To take advantage of being able to select seats at time of booking when travelling in Y, I am considering making a booking thru the SQ website for the following routing ADL/SIN/SFO/--/YVR/SIN/ADL with a s/o in SIN on the return trip.
As the multi-city/stopover option won't let me select ADL/SFO, I need to specify the outbound flight as 2 segments (i.e. ADL/SIN SQ268 and SIN/SFO SQ16).
If I do this, when I check-in here in ADL will I be able to have my checked bagage go right through to SFO from ADL and be issued with boarding passes for both flights, without having to check-in again in SIN. (SQ268 arrives about 1740 and SQ16 departs at about 0900hrs the next day).
I also note that if I try and specify LAX instead of SFO for the outbound flight, I continually get a 'not available' message for any dates selected, hence the reason to look at flying to SFO instead and maybe get a 77W or A380. Anyone else experiencing this problem?
