  • Missing a sector - any problem

Currently have a ticket CMB - SIN - MEL - SIN -CMB

If i missed the CMB-SIN sector, and boarded at SIN (i.e. SIN - MEL - SIN -CMB), would that be a problem?

Thanks so much for your help guys!

Don't think you can do that. You have to board at start of ticket..

Yes, the rest of your itinerary would be canceled automatically.

thanks so much for you're reply.

If the ticket has already been issued, should i cancel the CMB-SIN part? Is it possible to do that?

        Thanks alot.

Yes, it is possible. But the fare will be recalculated. You will pay SIN-MEL-SIN-CMB fare. Your origin determines your fare.

TerryK and Savage25 are SPOT on on both scenarios.

Fail to board in CMB, and your whole itinerary goes to pot.
Drop the CMB-SIN segment, and you'll get a reprice (and I suspect, higher)

Luckily, if you are in SIN, Cathay Pacific's Singapore website has a special (as they are relaunching their SIN-CMB flight):

              Here

So, whilst the whole fare, including taxes is around $480 although availability is fast running out.

Ticketing rules dictate that a ticket must not be used out-of-sequence. Hence, even if (for some reason) the downline segment bookings were not cancelled, the ticket will not be accepted for travel SIN-MEL since the preceding CMB-SIN coupon is unused.
