  • online check-in

sorry to be a noob about this.
So online check in opens 48hrs before flight.
I assume once this timing is met, I should be able to just click on the flights listed in my Krisflyer account and voilà, check in, choose my seat and print my boarding pass, right?

I ask because i'm thinking too much about what happens if it goes wrong and I have to arrange to get to the airport super early to do the whole shoe imspection thing...
That and the temperature & humidity here is Driving me nuts. 9pm at night, digital thermometer registering 27C inside ( all windows open) IN UK!!! Madness
If God had really intended men to fly, he'd make it easier to get to the airport.

Yes, 48hrs beforehand. You can also sms check-in if you have signed up for it - a rather convenient feature I've found for me. No point printing BP - just get it at the airport. Save the paper.

27C where you are ? Yes....nothing that cannot be solved with a few ice cubes

      Strategically placed, of course
Air-con is great, but it's too noisy to leave on overnight.

Anyway, back to this check-in thing....
They're quite the stickler for going by the book..I was hoping I wouldn't have to take passport to work to check-in later. I was hoping the check-in option would be available now, but it appears that as the flight is at 9:50am Wednesday, they're not letting me do the check-in till 9:50 today.....
Rules are rules, and I suppose I was being too optomistic on my interpretation of "48 hours" as being roughly "two days"
If God had really intended men to fly, he'd make it easier to get to the airport.

You don't necessarily need your passport to check in online... just need to know details like your name, date of birth, passport number & country where it was issued...

I have enough problems remember my phone number, let alone all the passwords and codes for work.........now you expect me to remember my passport number as well
Sat hitting refresh waiting for the system to come online.......impatient little man.....

Is that another of your colleagues methods for being denied boarding the aircraft? What with the Huff at CGK and Aircraft door shenanigans reported lately

I noticed that at LHR at least, that the checkin agent seems to check your passport details against information on the screen.

When I used my KF profile to check in, the system also alerted me to any discrepancy.
