  • HBA - SIN ???

    Hello,
I was just wondering if SQ could operate flights down to Hobart (Tasmania) even if it was just a couple times a week. I was thinking that it could be routed Sin- Hba-Chc-chc-hba-sin, which gives the Tasman route (which so many people wanted) and direct to Asia.

It was just an idea and would like to hear other people’s thoughts.

SQ have operated charter flights to HBA in the past.

The main problem with HBA is it is just too low yielding. SQ might be able to fill up the economy seats, but the premium cabins would run pretty empty. Even Qantas does not really fly to HBA anymore for this reason.

So, to answer your question, I'd look to see a thick frost in hell before you see SQ flying to HBA.

Thanks MilesDependent for the quick reply
If you think this is the case what about maybe Tiger Air doing something like SIN- HBA? Or don't there aircraft have that kind of range? Also does anyone think Hobart could get any international route? If so who and where?

Thanks and sorry it has taken so long to reply!
