Hello, I'm a fellow aviation fan from across the Tebrau
I registered here because I liked reading through the threads but now I have a question.
This coming August, I have to fly to the US. I've done myself some research and SQ seems to be a very attractive option for me.
It has come down to two choices, SQ62 to IAH or SQ38 to LAX
Now, the prices for these two flights vary very little so it makes no difference. The connection to my next destination in the US is also not that important in this case.
My question is:
Would you rather sit in the Y+ on the A340-500 but travel non-stop for about 18 hours
or
Travel on normal Y on the 777-300ER but having a breather while at DME?
One more thing about taking SQ62 is that I have heard that loads in Y is very poor, so if I can have a whole row to myself, it would be my personal Y+++
Is this still the case or has the loads increased significantly?
And if I'm not mistaken the 77W has power outlets for laptops, is this also available for the A345?
Anyway, I hope you guys can give some suggestions or tips.
Btw, I'm loyal to MH but sometimes a marriage would need some spice
