Having now flown several flights on New Business Class (77W only), I find the only major flaw in the design which bugs me is the retractable seatbelt when in bed-mode.
The design is really quite irritating! It is anchored near the shoulder-level, and you're supposed to feed it thru a velcro loop down by waist-level before folding it across your body and into the buckle.
This works fine in theory if one doesn't move much when sleeping. I tend to twist and turn, and this causes the belt to come out of the velcro loop. And since it's spring-loaded, the belt then ends up diagonally across me, or wedged under my arm.
This happened several times on my most recent flights that I ended up not using the belt for much of the time.
Has anyone else had a similar problem, or can suggest a solution? Is the design the same on the A380 and/or refurbished A345?
