Change is in the air...SQ has announced changes to its KrisFlyer frequent flyer program.

These days, whenever I hear about changes to FF programs, the D-word comes up...inevitably somewhere in the fine print (or even the large print), miles/points are devalued and it takes increasingly more miles to redeem for a given destination.
As a Krisflyer member since the start, I've seen my hard earned miles devalued over the years. Thankfully I am not a hoarder. I use miles as needed, and have used miles to redeem many Business, First, and even Suites awards.
But these days I wonder if it is worth playing the miles game. I stick to Star Alliance / SQ affiliated carriers because I no longer travel enough to "play both sides" and accumulate miles on both Star and Oneworld, but increasiingly, I don't really care and just buy the tix out there that offer the most bang for buck, whether in economy or business.
In any case, let's watch this space and see what SQ has in store for us vis-a-vis its flagship Krisflyer program.
