  • Scoot 787-9, bound for Perth, returned to Singapore after bomb threat (12 Oct 2023)

This was widely covered in the press today.

Interesting that, according to the article, passengers onboard were told they were turning back because it was experiencing "minor issues". At least some pax must have deduced what was going on when the RSAF fighter aircraft showed up alongside to escort the aircraft back to Changi. Also, Scoot's 787-9 is equipped with wifi. Wonder if any pax saw coverage of the incident live, while they were still in the air.

Saw reports on the news this evening. The captain did make an announcement of the incident to the pax as to what is happening from passenger taken videos and also some clips of the F15 escorting the plane back to Changi.
