  • No more Child fare in Business Class

Just found out today that SQ no longer has Child fares for Business Class. Child fares (for children below 12 years old occupying a seat) used to be 75% of Adult fares.

Interestingly, Child fares still exist in First Class.

Wow. Sorry to hear that - I know that impacts you, StarG...

I wish they would charge a surcharge for children below 12 in all classes and a triple-surcharge for children below 5. I would pay extra (a lot extra) to be on child-free flights.

Well I tell y'all what folks! I love kids. Jake, Billy and Ethel ain't been the same since they lost Betty, and ain't not a day goes by when I don't think of her.

But I'll be damned, the three of them just remind me of her so much. Runnin' up and down the yard all day - I see Betty in all of 'em.

They's pretty well behaved on board them planes but you know, kids being kids! Heh heh heh.....

Been mighty lucky to have had the chance to fly in First Class a whole lot - and lil' Jake, Billy and Ethel ain't NEVER bothered nobody too much. All it takes is a firm hand when they's a bit outta control.

i wish they imposed a triple surcharge for grumpy, egomaniacal passengers...they're far more annoying than children.

              Hi StarG,
Would you check again please... I thought SQ abolishes all the child fares for Y, C as well as F, but keep the 10% infant fares.
              Thanks.

I checked the fare on Biz Class to HCMC and noted child fare is still available. But the trips to Europe does not have child fare.

I guessed SQ has eliminated child Fare on longer haul to maximise profit. Maybe a matter of time we have no child fare at all. The new reality of flying with SQ and is related to the word SQueeze.

Seems other airlines are beginning to look more attractive considering that fares for SQ is one of the highest outbound from Singapore.

SQ LPP, I tried making a dummy booking on SQ.com for HKG. F has child fare, C no child fare.

Yeah, and they invade way more places than children.
I wish they have to pay triple surcharge wherever they go - not just on airlines.

Oh well, c'est la vie. I will either fly them anyway on SQ or fly CX more. No biggie.
If what I posted about child fare still being available in F, maybe in some cases (routes) it would make more sense for us to fly in F.
