CGK-SIN-HKG SQ F - worth it?

We're also only getting one way tickets so the return doesn't come into it.. We're flying PER-CGK-SIN-HKG-KUL-BKI-KUL-PER.

Been reading this thread. And you said you are buying CGK-SIN-HKG one way only. I assume you have your PER-CGK // KUL-PER already. Thus how do you do HKG-KUL? Another one way? If yes, I thought ex-HKG fares is abit more expensive?

Return tickets are actually HKG-PER with stopovers in KUL and BKI. MH had a special on for HKG-PER and they offer 2 free stopovers in Malaysia. These tickets are booked (but not paid yet) The original reason for going to HKG at all is because it is cheaper to fly HKG-PER J than it is to fly KUL-PER J or BKI-PER J!

It isn't really an ideal time to go to HKG but my husband enjoyed his last visit and I've never been and now I am looking forward to it

Oh and I do have to agree it is totally nuts.. but it is nice to think about. We can fly MH J CGK-BKI and BKI-PER and skip HKG and SIN for a little less money (not very much less) and this is what we might do, depending on my health.. but a little mini tour sounds more fun.

Excellent! If you go, I'm sure you'll love Hong Kong, newflyer! Whilst there are many similarities with Singapore (e.g. the excellent transport system), it's also quite different in some ways.

I am sad that I will not get to go to Shanghai on this trip- so close yet so far! However I am sure I will have an opportunity soon enough.

I've been reading up on HKG and I think I'll have a great time. I'm a dedicated foodie and I enjoy shopping every now and again so I think it will be wonderful, even if the weather is a bit less than ideal.
