That would be a big surprise as the SQ's sixth WhaleJet is scheduled for delivery about January 2009. Do you have a source?

Zvezda, indeed. Source is the Singapore Airlines group on Facebook.

In turn, their source is Mr. Chew Choon Seng's fabulous New Year's Message to staff.

              0134GMT

It has just been confirmed and reconfirmed to me that Singapore Airlines will operate six Airbus A380-800s by 31 July 2008

9V-SKA and 9V-SKB have already joined the fleet
9V-SKC* will join in February 2008
9V-SKD* will join in April 2008
9V-SKE* will join in June 2008
9V-SKF* will join in July 2008

Singapore Airlines will operate, subject to regulatory and government approval, the Airbus A380-800 to Beijing in time for the Olympic Games.

Once 9V-SKC has joined, SQ317/SQ322 will be operated daily by the Airbus A380-800.

With these deliveries, more passengers, and earlier than expected I must say with some surprise, will experience Travel In A New Light combined with the Romance of Travel.

Singapore_Air, is it confirmed to be 317/322? I have a trip to London in late-Feb and will switch to 322 immediately if so. All flights are still showing as 744.

                  Thanks.

MileHighJ, sorry, I forgot to reply.

Umm... you could have a shot at it couldn't you? I don't have the exact dates, just what I have posted above. But if I were you and my travel date was after 14 Feb, I would!
