  • Last Minute Booking - Vast Fare Difference

Hi everybardee, my first post here. Quick question - I booked my flight on SQ 2 weeks ago LHR-SIN departing tomorrow, and was quite mortified to see now that the fare has dropped to half the price I paid.

Why the big gap in price and should I claim the difference? Or does paying a higher fare boost chances of an op-up, which I very much doubt seeing as it's a busy route -

You did not mention whether you booked into Y or C, but I am guessing it's in Y, because from my experience C fares are normally standardized and does not change much.

Did you see the fare conditions? Are they exactly the same? If so you might as well just refund the first ticket and get the cheaper one...

ithaka, welcome to SQTalk. andySYD is probably right about C Fare being standardized based on past experiences short of a SARS or Sep 11 scenario.

unless there's a promo - but generally the closer one book - the higher the price for EY - and promo r usually for 2 to fly type
