Is it possible to check online how fully booked a particular flight is for Singapore Airlines such as that on UA when "view seat map" is clicked?

As far as I know it is not possible. I understand from a conversation from a TA that SQ releases seats in blocks...not sure if that is true.

Seatmap is a very poor indicator of plane load. That said, there is no public way to display it for SQ flights.

Thanks for the replies, but just out of curiousity, what do you mean when you say it "is a very poor indicator of plane load"?

Because many people do not assign seats. Having a seatmap showing lots of unassigned seats does not mean that the load will be light, for example.

What SQflyergirl said! Also, many seats are blocked for elites, groups etc. A nearly full seatmap doesn't mean a full load either. This is a common misconception. Seatmap is useful to look for an empty seat to assign. Nothing else.
