  • SQ 025 = new C?

    Hi guys,

I'm flying from FRA to SIN on SQ025.
Is the new business class or will i have to deal with the "old" one ?

redeeming my staralliance miles was incredibly difficult this time, i wonder if they have changed something (with the alliance becoming bigger and bigger) or if i'm just flying in high season...

Hey schuey, nice talking to you lately and welcome to SQTalk! Unfortunately, there are two SIA flights from FRA-SIN daily and you picked the one with the older business class. SQ325 is the one with the new J class. But don't worry, spacebeds aren't bad, they just don't seem as great compared to the new biz class. Its still a fine product with great service SQ025 is rumoured to get the A380 possibly next year.

thx for your answer. yes i feared that it would the spacebed. flew it several time and it still is a very good business class. it just annoys me that the bigger the alliance gets, the more difficult it becomes to redeem the seats you actually "want".

In case you are not aware of, the number miles required for the new C seat is double that of the spacebed C seat in 747.

For KrisFlyer members, yes, but I don't think redemptions are available as yet for members of partner airlines' FFPs. It seems from his profile that OP isn't a KrisFlyer member.

This has actually been circulating around for quite some time. It was confirmed by another SQTalker who got info from the Straits Times.

                  Just my curiosity...
Would you rather get the information from the newspaper source, or from the airlines which is the subject...

                      false.

SQ 1/2 SIN-HKG-SFO are entitled to the superjumbo in autumn 2008 after SYD, LHR & NRT.

this is SQ's flagship route to the USA after all.

                      future allotments are still awaited.

Well, if all the rumors in aviation were true, SQ would now own 50 Concordes, Airbus would never have sold a plane on the American continent and Iran Air would be flying a leased 747-400 right now.

And, of course, the highly poisenous contrails spread by all these pax planes would have killed us all

I'm well aware that SQ 1/2 is the SIA flagship route in the USA. I had the assertion that the whalejet would be sent to FRA for quite some time and it seems confirmed from this thread: http://www.sqtalk.com/forums/showthr...t=2045&page=19

9V-JKL mentions that he received his info from the Singapore business times.

I know that not all rumours are true but the reporting of Singapore's media is usually reliable compared to other cities.
