  • Finished My Run MAN-SIN-HKG

    Dear all,

Just a follow up from my 2 day run to HKG and back. Arrived back this morning, Wednesday. All went well and no real felling of lag ( well not yet).

Collected just a MAN-SIN BP at MAN as they could not issue all of the BP's. I took that one only. Check in agent did think it was a bit daft going to HK for 4 hours!

Delay in Transfer Area E - had a 40 minute wait to collect the remaining 3 BP's. Only two desks open. Not a real problem though. My HKG-SIN BP also had the code RCI on it ( next to the eticket bit) - any ideas?

Firsy journey on a 77W - Row 31 seems to be the way to go in Y exit row with no slide protrusion. I was in 33A but had two seats - flight was 1/2 full.
Krisworld is so much better - more options bigger screen than in a 772ER. Made me somehat disappointed - even more so when we were forced to walk through business and first to disembark. Those seats are huge...I'm used to a speacebed between MAN-SIN-AKL but these are on a different level.

Arriving in HKG I visited the SKL and then walked up to the Virgin Clubhouse -much better. I arrived at 4.15pm and the virgin staff were working and I was able to order off the VS menu. Nice Thai curry and a few Sav's.
Flight back to both SIN and then MAN was uneventful.

Cleared immigration through IRIS at MAN, hand luggage only and straight through into my car and home.

Thanks for all of the advice that people have given on this topic.

    Cheers
    Clowesy

Welcome home.. and I am glad you survived your first mileage run! Hope it will encourage you to do more runs!

And BTW, RCI means RETURN CHECK IN.
