Planes on the BNE - SIN SQ flights

Dear all,

I am new to SQtalk and I am considering upgrading my SIN-BNE leg of trip to J. On the booking form, it says 777-200/ER and I understand that spacebed is only offered on the ERs. Does anyone know which flights are the ERs deployed on the BNE-SIN routes ? Any advice is much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

BNE doesn't get the Spacebed equipped 777's regularly. It's the 30J/293Y 9V-SR* series that goes there most of the time.

(The entire 777-200 fleet are all technically ER's, but that's another story for another time)

All SQ's 777-200 planes are ER, but only the ones with RR Trent 892 are categorised as ER by SQ. I believe, there's no spacebeds for BNE. Maybe some other members can clarify my comments.

Many thanks to SQFG and SG kooku. Pity I can't get on the spacebed equipped ones but beggars can't be chosers.... regional J it shall be... thanks again! This will be my first J experience since 1980s in TG J.... so I am looking forward to it... cheers

hey mate welcome to SQTalk - yeh with BNE being my home base, i can confirm again the lovely comments from the gang here that there isnt a Spacebed from Brizzie. I always seem to get by with it and service in J is awesome on this flight as usual.
Only stickler is sometimes you miss out on the AVOD but no biggie. Getting rarer these days but my last two flights in the last month or so didint have it.

Maybe with the A380 SQ can swing us a 772 with the beds???

Hi Token01, yeah.... with the new 380 plying the SYD route... there might be a chance here ( unless anyone knows it already ! ).... esp with the PPS complaining abt the seats on the overnight flights.... but for me... no such issues... I am in zoo class most of the time anyway... but never the less... I will enjoy the non AVOD regional J no doubt.... still a great way to fly... btw mate... any comments on the KF lounge in BNE ?

yeh mate im sure you will enjoy it - Personally speaking regarding the AVOD, its been a bit of a hit and miss of getting it, but i usually catch a movie if im not reading anything with the lunch service (i usually fly out on the arvo flight makes Europe connections easy) then hit the sack for some shut eye. With the second meal ill either finish the movie mate or watch something on the comedy channel.
Regarding the KF lounge in Brizzie, its nothing too special. Theres the usual hot food of mini pies, wings, spring rolls etc. Then you have some sushi, cold sandwiches of a good assort and the usual other goodies. Mid range booze as well.
For space in the lounge i usually never have a problem finding a seat or im usually in the booth on the phone. However last time i flew bout 3 weeks ago it was a zoo in there with a few PITA's who enjoyed 4 - 6 seats with no consideration for others.
If i was you, with no priority immigration and security, get there a little earlier make use of raffles check in and get down there (turn right down a long corridor past Emirates lounge as you exit security) and enjoy it. Oh usual magazines, papers and a TV
Tell you what mate, im flying out of the country on Sunday on the arvo flight, ill try to get some pictures of the place if its not too full.

Cheers mate... that would be awesome ... ( not that I get to use the lounge often being a cattle class flyer ).... will consider flying QF J next Jan on BNE - SIN to try the lie flat seats !
