DBS AMEX Altitude Card

Hi everyone,

Saw from DBS website that they have a new credit card - DBS AMEX Altitude Card. For every S$0.83 spent, you get 1 Krisflyer mile.
This is better than AMEX Krisflyer card (S$1.07 = 1 mile, including the 50% bonus).
So is this a better card ? So I switch now ?
Like some opinions on whether the information I obtained is correct.

If you currently have the KF PPS Amex card, I wouldn't switch. The reason would be that there is a $40 KF annual subscription on DBS cards AND there is $40 charge for each conversion of DBS points to KF Miles.
For KF PPS Amex card, there is no conversion charges and KF miles is credited on a monthly basis.

And there isn't alot of perks that they are offering, if there are some free gifts it may sweeten the deal.

I've heard too many bad stories about disputed charges and crappy customer service with DBS credit cards to even consider getting a card from them.

Interesting. Thanks acey. Needs S$80,000 min annual income. Can't find the full terms and conditions. do you have them?

T&C from the application form:

Spend a min of S$25,000 on the DBS Altitude Card each Card year and have your annual fees waived. If the min spend criteria of S$25,000 is not met or if the Card is canceled within each year of the Main Cardmember's Card open date, a fee of S$180 (Main) and S$90 (Supp) where applicable, will be imposed. This fee is NON-WAIVABLE.

Also...
Enrollment in the DBS Frequent Flyer Program is needed to convert your DBS points to KF miles; the annual fee of S$40(excluding GST) is applicable and NON-WAIVABLE.
