Got a feeling the bubble might be delayed due to the community cases yesterday.

"Travellers returning to Singapore within 72 hours of their post-arrival Covid-19 PCR test taken at HKIA are exempted from this requirement." https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/s...travel-bubble/
Only 3 tests if visiting HK for less than 72 hours.

It's a possibility if the comm cases continue to spiral.

It's worth noting the ATB is only concerned with unlinked comm cases (ie not more than 5 on a 7-day average). Of yesterday's 16 cases, only 1 was unlinked.

The total unlinked case for the past week in SG is 7. Still below average.

Right now HK just discovered an unlinked community case involving a maid who was detected with 2 new strains N501Y n E484K. They still do not know how she got it. HKG gov is sending 1600 ppl living in the same building as the maid to quarantine Centre. They are very afraid that this will result in another wave.

Just reported in HK SCMP that travel bubble is fluid now:

Looks very likely that the HK bubble will be cancelled if there's more than 5 local community infections from tomorrow onwards.

Dont know why our senior officials are all so confident of the bubble going through, but looking at the more than 10 community cases for the past few days and to this date, it doesnt look good at all for the bubble to open on 28 May. Even the Changi 2 terminals are closed till after the 26th May except for passengers only.

Because they would lose face if this doesn't go ahead. Big loss of face of OYK.

It's as good as the bubble has burst as our current heightened alert will be until 13 June.
Don't think it will make a difference by next week.

still depends on the moving average of unlinked cases.
