It is industry-wide practice that airlines are more expensive from their homebase than elsewhere. It has to with competition. Airlines generally have more control of the market in their homebase, e.g. offering more direct flights than foreign airlines, more corporate contracts etc. So there is no need to offer a lot of discounts. Whereas in other markets, they would be just one of many options so they have to offer discounts as needed to be competitive.
