  • Sq online check in

Hey.i have not used Sq online check in before.

    So a question,

If I check in online,do I have to print the boarding pass at home compulsorily or can I go to the counter at the airport to have them print it for me?

My printer has no ink at home, thats why..

You can go to the airline counter at the airport to get your boarding pass. I always check in online and get my boarding pass from the counter. So, I'm pretty sure.

I always check in online, which also means filling out passport details. At the airport, you just give them your passport and indicate you online checked in (They'll enter the info and know you did that). Within a few minutes your boarding pass(es) will print out and you also need to check what luggage needs to be taken/checked in before heading out. This way is the easiest.

NOTE: SFO (My home base) has a separate checkin counter called "Online Check In". If your departing airport has that, please use it instead of having to wait in the other line. If not, just do what I did in the regular line itself. Having heard this being implemented in 2013 at SFO, I did this once for EK and once for SQ (The EK one was super long knowing it was operated by the A380, SQ line took less than 10 minutes since only about 2-3 people went to that line.)

To answer your question, you don't need to print out your boarding pass at all.

at Singapore airport, even if you have printed the BP online, you will need it to be physically verified before allowing going airside...

        what's the point?

For those in a similar situation: You'll be fine. No need to print one. SQ is not FR. The check-in staff will usually end up printing out a new boarding card for you anyway.
