According to the news here: https://www.accuweather.com/en/weath...BDz1M.facebook - more bad weather is being anticipated for 11 and 12 March 2018 for the east coast. Wonder if that will affect flights for FRA-JFK vv and MAN-IAH vv yet again.

MAN-IAH will likely be okay because at least according to accuweather, there won't be snow in both places. On the other hand, the eastern part of the US may likely be worse as there will still be snow on some days.

Omg yes.. I’m waiting at the SKL lounge. Seems like the original plane 9V-SWN landed on time from Sydney and was scheduled to take the SQ8 flight but due to “engineering requirements” they will be using the first available aircraft (9V-SWO) which is currently on the way from Melbourne.

I’m curious why SQ didn’t provide business and first passengers a few hours of usuage of the transit hotel considering the red eye flight delay.

SQ218 actually left MEL ahead of schedule so perhaps they knew in advance of this problem. There's nothing wrong with SWN though, as it headed off to LHR shortly after arriving from SYD.

Hmm is it possible then that there was a problem with SQ306’s originally allocated aircraft, such that SQ decided to use SWN to operate SQ306 and let SQ8 wait for the first awailable aircraft, in this case SWO off SQ218...?

Actually, it seems 9V-SWM was the culprit, causing a few aircraft changes.

It was supposed to operate SQ636|10MAR but had some technical issue which resulted in 9V-SWG (ex-SQ917) operating the flight with a delay.

As a result, 9V-SWG which was scheduled to operate SQ352|10MAR was operated by 9V-SWD instead (ex-SQ865).

SQ8, being the last B77W departure of the night bank was stuck with 9V-SWM (similar to the SQ346 delays we see every now and then) which they probably determined could not be fixed in time, hence awaiting first available in the form of 9V-SWO.

They are really stretched with B77Ws at the moment. CDG is the culprit I think and it should hopefully get better after the return to A380 in 2 weeks happens.

US East Coast looks set to face yet another heavy snowstorm on Wednesday from their fourth Nor'easter in a month, dumping between 12 to 16 inches of snow. Wonder what the odds are in the cancellation of the SQ26 FRA-JFK and return SQ25 JFK-FRA legs.

It is possible that a lockout by the Danish government of its employees from a number of Danish functions and institutions will occur from 4th-10th of April 2018 in a response to warned strikes by unions in failed negociations of new unions agreements, I am not aware in which way this would affect flight in and out of CPH Kastrup Airport, but it is the generel opinion that the lockout by the government to its employees to be broad and hence affect many functions, even here in Nuuk Greenland where I reside there is speculations that due to all meteological rapports to pilots are done by the Danish Meteological Institute which are supposed to be affected will cause flights to be cancelled. Not sure if SIA flights would be affected in this way or another if this lockout takes place, I have fligt to CPH 20th april and CPH-SIN-BKK april 22nd, hopefully this will not be affected....

In view of industrial action by French air traffic controllers, SQ336 (Singapore-Paris) on 22 March 2018 and SQ335 (Paris-Singapore) on 22 March will be cancelled.

Additionally, due to inclement weather, SQ26 (Frankfurt-New York sector), 21 March and SQ25 (New York-Frankfurt sector), 21 March will be cancelled. The Frankfurt-Singapore sector of SQ25 on 22 March will operate as per normal.

Yes, it does appear that there will be disruptions to JFK again, as well as the other one in France.
