Has anybody else just been bombarded with texts and emails from SQ for schedule changes for future travel? Within an hour I had three sectors out of four rescheduled on a booking in Dec/Jan. Maybe it's just MEL and DUS affected and if so that would mean I hit jackpot!

Most of them are very slight adjustments but one has the possibility of threatening a connection in SIN because it doesn't give the change to the arrival time, only departure. I thought the standard protocol was to update both the departure and arrival times in such notifications...

Isn't that a delay of 23 hours or did you mean 1 hour earlier?

Now i am reschedule with a stopover at MXP to arrive BCN at 8.30AM on 13 Nov... about 11hrs layover in airport.

I knew something like this would end up happening with BCN. I would definitely be contacting them right away (assuming it's only a text you have so far)- that's clearly not acceptable.

To help, try to ask that they put you on SQ328 to MUC leaving the same night as you would have left for BCN. That flight arrives very early into MUC and LH1808 departs MUC at 0610, arriving BCN at 0810. There's a back up flight LH1810 departing at 0840. Much better to change flights at MUC than FRA.

(Of course we don't know yet if SQ328 will start arriving into MUC much later by Novemeber as it no longer has to head to MAN.)

Thanks for the tip. Will head to ION instead tomorrow as they are more efficient there.

My this itinerary has way to many changes/cancellations so jinx

Hi All I am new to the forum and hoping for some clarification. We wanted to fly SQ from SYD to BCN and then return flight ROM to SIN a two day stop over then back to CNB. Up until last week SQ were showing direct flights from Sydney to Barcelona with a 3hr stop in SIN for April 2017. Now ther direct flight is gone. Yet with Virgin Int. flight is shown as operated by Virgin but saying you fly VI from SYD to SIN then SQ to BCN. I am completely confused. Does this mean we will be flying with Virgin or SQ and does this make it impossible to book with SQ an we have to book with VI.
Will we be able to do the return flight to CNB if the flight is with VI. We were hoping to avoid the flight back to SYD and come straight back to CNB.
                Sorry if this sounds confusing.

                  It is a little confusing....

Do you mean Canberra which is CBR or Coonamble in NSW which is CNB?
Also, the main airport in Rome is FCO.
By VI I think you mean Virgin Australia International division which is still VA. VI is an airline somewhere in Russia.

OK, Virgin Australia don't even fly to SIN. They will sell you entire SQ flights as codeshares due to the partnership arrangement.

The reason the VA website is still showing direct flights is because SQ have only just made the change on their own system. It will take a few days probably until the VA system updates to the new arrangements.

At this point, SIN-CBR is not available as a direct flight but will be from late September. It will be an SQ flight, not a VA flight.

Thanks. sorry about he incorrect abbreviations. Yes I do mean Canberra. I have only just started researching flights and to be honest feel a bit of loyalty to SQ. Crazy I know but the thought of flying with another airline for 14 hrs before getting off the plane is enough to do me in as I am not a great flyer
