Anyone know the reason for SQ218 and SQ218D over night leaving MEL?

SWB departed as 218 for an on time departure, and around an hour later SWF departed as flight number SQ218D.

The March 8 departure of SQ218 was cancelled. 9V-SWF flew SQ217 into MEL on March 7 and would have done the return, but for some reason or another it didn't. Probably a mechanical problem that kept it in MEL for an extra day.
