I've heard a few stories about people having agents escort them from lounge to gate or from check-in to lounge to gate in various different ports (not SIN). Has anyone had any experience with this? I have flown in F and R but never experienced it myself.

Never in SIN but regularly at LHR and SYD.
I usually politely decline. The only times I have allowed them to 'escort' me was once at LHR when the gate was an absolute zoo for some reason and last month in SYD when the staff member said she needed to go on board anyway so could she walk with me. She used the time to ask a couple of slightly interesting questions, which I suspect was the real reason for her 'trip'.

To be honest thought escorts, and I'd say buggies as well, are not really needed in Changi unlike some other airports.

SQ26 NYC-Sg stopover @ Frankfurt, Lufthansa ground staff (dressed smartly in suits) escorted us from airplane door through aerobridge/gate to lounge before everyone else disembarked. One escort one person or couple (if travelling together). Neat.

Just Finished a couple trips in R. - as a QPP.
SYD - SIN R - no service offered however staff knew that i knew this airport well.
SIN - NRT- buggy was offered in the Private room as was a distant gate.
NRT - LAX - on a previous trip the private room had arranged ground staff assistance / escort to lounge at their polite insistence and then back to plane due to the large number of carry on's I had on me.
LAX - NRT - No escort offered. However on this sector and other ports such as SYD, BNE, DEL, - i have seen SQ dressed staff escort passengers through security into lounge and then onto plane. I believe and was confirmed a couple times that they were LPP, Or CIP TPP and CIP /VIP's.
NRT - SIN. nil.
SIN - BNE. Private room offered buggy as distant gate even though in J.
Token01.
on a Side note when flying LH, i noticed being in F at a few ports meant assistance all the way to aircraft. Likewise with QF in F. no status required._________________________________
