  • Ticketing Question

Hi, this is a strange question, but if I purchase a ticket for a party of two with my credit card and I am not able to make the trip at the last minute due to work, is the other person still able to travel? This is a 1-to-go economy saver fare

I am in that situation once. I called SQ to check and our booking allowed that. As long as your booking is not 2-to-travel types or in the sweet deals category it should be fine. However, do call SQ to verify by providing your ticket number or booking reference.

But in the end, business plans changed and we went for our holiday together.

I'm hoping to not have to change it too. I am quite sure it's not a two to go or sweet deal. It's Economy Saver and whether you buy tickets for one person or two it's the same price. Or do you recommend I just make two bookings? Will the price inexplicably go up after I make a booking for one? (There are at least 5 seats now)

Since you have not booked your tickets, it would be advisable to call SQ to clarify.

Regarding two separate bookings, yes you can use this option. Unless there is only one (1) seat left in that fare bucket, you should be able to book both seats at the same price since you had tested by booking 5 seats?

Yes, they can split the two tickets into two booking references and you cancel one if and when the need arise.

Thanks guys.. I will book this shortly. Perhaps as two separate tickets to be safe (also eradicates the hassle if the need arises to split tickets). Yes I have tested for 5 seats.

Got them. Two PNRs. No need for credit card checks. In fact, if anything, I just show it for both at check in.
