  • Best Route To Experience Suites Class?

I have a simple question, which route(s) is/are best to experience Suites Class?
My interpretation of best is a flight that is very long, where Caviar is served, a daytime flight, where 2 full meals are served. Am I missing something?
    Thanks.

On this forum Suites is a subject that has nearly been beaten to death, through thousands of posts. However, I will say that SQ 308 (STD from SIN around 9 AM, ETA at LHR around 3 PM) is one such flight that should meet all your criteria...

To me, to maximise, one needs to sleep and be amazed by the bedroom-like feel as well as those that you had listed.

The best route IMO is SQ26 all the way SIN-JFK. You get a night portion and a day portion. And the day portion is just nice at 8 hours with 2 full meal service, and enough time in between to enjoy lounging and watching IFE. The night portion is also just long enough for a full sleeping cycle in between 2 meals.

The other one, when it was still flying, is SQ2 SIN-HKG-SFO, I had my best sleep ever on the plane on this flight - full 8 hours and I didn't feel like I was on a flight.

On SQ308, IMO, it will be boring after 7-8 hours. And you can't sleep on a day flight like that.

SQ12 SIN-LAX has a short night on the outbound. From experience, I can't sleep well on the relatively 'short' 10 hours across the Pacific which also has 2 meals. The Pacific crossing is also in the early evening at the point of origin so can't sleep.

SQ11 LAX-SIN is a bit better than SQ 12 timing wise. But the Suites experience must include departing from Changi T3. So this option is not a good choice.

Thanks SQGamespeed, I'll look into trying SQ308. Is caviar served on SQ308 (I should probably look up the menu)?

Thanks Squeeze. Yes, sleeping is obviously required for such a long flight in order to enjoy the whole flight.

I did fly SQ26 this past May (on my birthday) the whole way from SIN to JFK and it was indeed very long. There was no caviar service though on neither sector (SQ25 did have caviar though). Suites Class was completely full on the SIN-FRA sector and as a result the service was just OK. I clearly felt that the service was a little slow as well as that the flight attendants were stressed/taxed to the max.

I've never flown SQ2/1 on the A380, just on the 77W in regular First. Caviar wasn't served on SQ2/1. It is a very nice long flight indeed.

Never flown SQ12/11 as well but it does seem kind of "short" since it makes a stop in Tokyo.

        I guess I have 2 options, SQ26 or SQ308...

          BigMac,

Looks like caviar is really important to you yea.
Try TG, they give out so much of it, about half a can

          Anyway,

My best flights in F so far are in fully-loaded 100% cabins. I found them to be on the ball and very sharp on those flights. At the end of the day, I think it varies from
          Crew set to crew set.

The lovely crew members are always happy* to serve seconds of caviar. May be a different story if F is full of course but it rarely is full in Suites. My partner hates the stuff so I sometimes get 2.5 serves of caviar each inflight meal.

Yes caviar is served on 308.

            * Unless you're the only person in First in which case they have a propensity to load only a single portion of everything.

On TG I've never been able to eat their first course as it always seems to be a shellfish dish and I'm allergic to shellfish. Great excuse to chisel an extra big portion of caviar.

Ha! It could have been worse. Imagine if it'd been Krug I'm allergic to...

I had my first Suites experience on SQ12 SIN-NRT. It is a day flight departing at 9.20am.

The cabin was 7/8 full, with an IFS, CSS, LS and LSS on duty. Lunch was unusually late, about 3 hours into the flight. There was no caviar on this leg.

I find that service was somewhat reactive - had to ask for nuts after take off, hot towel before landing, and there were no requests for drink orders save for pre- and post- take off. The crew was very obliging though - set up the bed 2 hours prior to landing and served the off-menu main course on top of my BTC choice.
