  • Singapore Airlines customers given extra 10kg baggage allowance

SQ increase extra 10KG baggage allowance across all classes.

There is no change in the extra allowance for KF Gold and *A Gold.
PPS still enjoy 100% extra allowance (means extra 20kg)

I never exceed 20kg but very good move by SQ

Useful for students who study abroad

I know several who fly EK for their 30 kg allowance

Get them young and they may stick with you when they're business travelers!

I had exceed 40kg (with my KF G status) by helping my colleague to shift food from Vietnam.
This is good to shift more food back to Singapore in the future.

They know that, but that's why it's a good move to finally do it

While it is all good, I would rather they reduce fuel surcharge...
              Life's A Bitch,
              Love It

If GOD created me for only 1 reason. That reason would be to the love of my wife. If there was any other reasons involved, that would be for the love of Singapore Airlines

+1. Increase prices to account for the higher fuel prices. It would make things so much easier.

At a time when other carriers are cutting their allowances, this is such a refreshing change. Hopefully others in the region will follow suit.

I'm sure airfares / surcharges will increase. No business gives you something for nothing. These extra allowance will be buried somewhere in the final price

thank god for that. no more scale in my luggage. things were especially worrying if the destination involves Tokyo and Seoul since I can't control what I purchase.

Indeed this is very good ... for some who carry substantial luggage. My wife, too, is thrilled that while we're flying Y to KIX next week, we'll have a total of 120kg allowance. For me that's very, very scary.

Never seen an SQ KUL ticket priced THAT low, ever

The "promos" ex KUL are about SGD200 return.
