It would have been nice if SQ had put the A380 on the HKG and onward to SFO route again for the coming Winter season. I was hoping an A380 would operate in January when I'm going again. Since SQ's fares are about the same, I'd probably consider flying the 744 again on CX provided my starting/ending destination doesn't land up being operated by SilkAir.

You might get your wish. The 77W on SQ866/865 often comes off SQ2/1.

        I am waiting too,

But hope is receding by the day.

I think it is unlikely that there will be a surge in capacity from 1x A380 to 3x A380 if SQ 2/1 also gets upgauged after this latest round of schedule change

Managed to get 2 F saver seats on SQ865 in December. No saver availability on SQ861 though.

I hope sq865 is a 38E. It is so difficult to get business class seats on that flight. The 20 minute shift in departure is also very helpful.

Sadly a family member of mine is having surgery in November, which means a 2 month recovery. Therefore, the January plan is canned due to this. I hope by August 2014 or sometime in 2015 they will put the A380 completely to SFO. I like the 77Ws, but it's just too boring to fly them over and over. At least I hope an A380 can come for a change since my dad flew it back home in January.

Forgive my lameness, but what is NW? I have a F seat in late January HKG-SFO and it'd be awesome if they switched to the 380 by then!

                            I'm guessing it means "Northern Winter 2013/2014" schedule, i.e. Oct/Nov 2013 through to March/April 2014...?
