Can the father book seat in F with an accompanying infant and a seat in J or Y for mom and take turns tending to the infant by swapping places so the other (the one in J/Y) can nap?

Can't be sure of taking turns, but a friend has swapped seats with his spouse before during a business trip where he was supposed to be in J, but ended up swapped with his wife to be in Y instead

      Love It

If GOD created me for only 1 reason. That reason would be to the love of my wife. If there was any other reasons involved, that would be for the love of Singapore Airlines

        Not possible ka

Sorry for the inconvenience na ka

People need to sit in the cabin/class that they paid for (unless the airline offers you otherwise)

It's a good question, even a reasonable one, and I can say from personal experience, even without the infant (which I don't think would change the crew's stance), on SIN-FRA-JFK, me and my spouse, one in R and one in Y weren't allowed to swap midflight. We did talk a bit at the front of the Y cabin and they did give preferred seats and even re-plated my R duckling BTC to me in Y, but swaps were only allowed prior to takeoff on each sector.

Before landing in JFK, they did let us sit in R together, which was a very nice touch and one I am thankful and grateful for til this day

            Thanks Kyo!

That's a question I will not be able to answer myself. (Don't see myself seated anywhere remotely near to the pointy end)

Hence, this question and a previous one on extreme snorers in premium cabins.

Both ends of most aircrafts are pointy.

That's not true. Passengers in First/Suites never ask for one

Well, technically, this is a case where the F/R passenger did ask for an upgrade: from Y to his Suite, albeit for someone else.

I have seen this kind of behaviour on a number of occassions. F passenger insisting to bring up his kid and nanny from Y or J passenger sneaking in his girlfriend to sleep with him in "the widest business class seat" in the sky. I always think this is so embarassing to the passenger and puts the crew in an awkward situation.

At the end of the day, the crew always catch on and have to make awkward efforts to get passengers back to their ticketed cabins. The girlfriend and passenger got a polite talking to and she had to make the walk of shame back to Y. I imagined passengers witnessing this all rolling their eyes at them.

Arguably, the rear is pointier than the front

I have before, in my best deadpan face. Agent did say that it wasn't possible, and did suggest she thought i would be sufficiently comfortable in the current class of service anyway...

And then there are those who quietly sneak through the curtains or up the staircase...

I figure once on board if there is a spare seat I can move there, even if it's in a different cabin

Where do you go from F? The pilot's lap?

Lol... I was once flying on an award in F from MUC to SIN. Lounge Dragon at the First Class Lounge suggested that I should add my HON Circle number to the booking. When I was asking what's the benefit of that she was replying "You have better chances of an upgrade." And my deadpan face question was: "And what exactly comes after First?"
