    • Two new arrivals on the same day is a bit exciting... SNB and SSI.

Only SNC left to go and then we will be focussing primarily on the A350 arrivals.

Interestingly, planespotters has added two A380s as "on order". Anybody able to recall their intended arrival dates? I thought it wasn't until 2017.

Yeap it will be in 2017. The MSN numbers for the SQ A380s are still quite far away from the current MSN number being built. Based on the current production rates, it should arrive in 2017.

          • As per SQ's earlier statements, the changes to the fleet over the next 6 months will be:

            + 1 B77WN
            + 3 A359
            - 2 A330
            - 1 772ER (SVH or SVO)
            - 1 773 (SYK?)

I'd agree with the 777 predictions as they are the only three remaining that are leased. I'd say SYK will depart around the time that SQ237/8 goes 77W which will reduce demand by one plane, which will effectively be covered by SNC.

The A330s are harder to predict. What I've seen reported on here is that some were 5 year leases and others were 6 years. All the remaining craft from STA-STS have gone past the 5 year mark. The first batch that arrived in early 2009 (STA-H) have also passed the 6 year mark. I'd be looking to the next set that will hit the 6 year mark early next year, such as STI and STK in particular.

Oh no! Now their order book has been reduced to 2 digits... I hope sometime soon we will hear an order from SQ that it will boast the number again.

I put a "?" next to SYK as SQ has 2 773s on lease, as per its annual report.

Would be interesting to know the identity of the other one.

                      • Any guesses on the next A330s to leave? 9V-STN seems to have been out of action for since late August.

Also, the update of end of June quarter[/URL] suggested that 2 777-200s had been decommissioned in prep for lease return. Does anyone know which ones these were?

Could possibly be. The trouble with the A330s is since every one of them is leased, it's hard to guess! Unless someone can tell us how long the lease for each plane is and then whether it was renegotiated, it's a bit of a waiting game. It could be that STN is the next one to go or it could just be having a big overhaul after being renegotiated for another 5 years.

They were SRK and SRN, both returned to Pembroke in mid-June.

Thanks. So are SRK and SRN the two 777-200s listed as leaving the fleet this year indicated in the end or year year results and the annual report?

I think SQ had said that prior to end of this fin year they would loose 2 777-200, 1 777-200ER and 1 777-300 (plus the 4 A330s)? I was hoping the two to go would be SRJ and SRL so that old purple cabins come closer to being a thing of the past.

Nope SRJ and SRL will stay until the next FY. SQ is due to retire another 4 aircraft for the rest of the year (2 A330-300s, 1 777-200ER and 1 777-300) according to their earlier Annual Report

Do we know if SRJ and SRL are owned or leased?
